May 27th - June 3rd
The Lord through his Servants have said that there are people out here in the Mission that are ready for the gospel. The Lord has prepared others to receive the truth. We as missionaries never know who we will meet at the Trail Center or the Tabernacle who are really prepared until we begin to take them through the Center.
On Saturday May 25th a young couple came through the Mormon Trail Center and received a tour with two of the young sister missionaries. They had a lot of questions about the church and the doctrine. They were very attentive and some of the questions were very pointed about the church and our beliefs. The sisters invited them to go to the cemetery and to the Temple grounds and then to come back if they had questions.
Monday May 27th the same couple came to the Kanesville Tabernacle and Sister White gave
them the tour of the Visitors Center. As Elder White took them to the Tabernacle and gave the
tour, he always asks if they had any questions.

Both had a lot of questions and asked deep questions about the church and the doctrine. As the spirit was so strong and the questions were answered they related the following. They said they had been to the Trail Center and felt such a great feeling, and then as they visited the Cemetery and the Temple grounds something was so strong that they sat down and loved the feeling they had. They felt that they wanted to learn more.
They told Elder White that they had been looking for a religion, the young lady had been brought up as an Atheist and the young man was brought up in the Islam belief. They met in California and started the search for the gospel. They were in the Public Library and found the Book of Mormon and started to read it, and they found an app and started listening to the Book. Elder White asked if they wanted to have the Elders contact them and receive more instruction, and a copy of the Book of Mormon was given to both of them.
They met with the Elders and Sister White at the Tabernacle on the next Thursday and had more questions and were receptive. They have since followed up with the Elders and have had two more discussions. They are reading the Book of Mormon and had a question for Elder White about believing in Saints They said that when they read the Book of Mormon they felt the spirit and wanted to know if it was Joseph Smith trying to tell them that the book was true, He told them about the Spirit of the Holy Ghost who testifies that the Book was true and that was the same feeling they felt at the Trail Center, Tabernacle, and the Temple.
They have set a date for Baptism and all are praying for them that it will happen on June 29th. The Lord does have people prepared for the gospel and we as missionaries believe that is true.
There are people where you live prepared and wanting the gospel. Become a good example, open
your mouth and testify and invite the Spirit to testify of the Truth.

President Ezra Taft Benson said, “Our mission as a Church is to preach the gospel to all the world.
That means, in due time, every country, nationality, and people." In a letter to Mr. John Wentworth in
March 1842, Joseph Smith prophesied: “No unhallowed hand can stop the work from
progressing; … the truth of God will go forth boldly, nobly, and independent, till it has penetrated
every continent, visited every clime, swept every country, and sounded in every ear, till the purposes
of God shall be accomplished, and the Great Jehovah shall say the work is done.”
