THE NEBRASKA SKY AFTER TORNADO WARNINGS

What a week here in the Nebraska Omaha Mission, we are really getting busy.
For  example, we were working on Wednesday morning at the Kanesville Tabernacle.
As we pulled up at the parking lot to open it we noticed all these Young Adults
walking all over the grounds. Know that this is very unusual because I have the
keys to open the gate!  Well a bus tour of kids showed up a half hour early, not
scheduled but the FM Missionaries were working on the flower gardens and let
them in. Quite a shock , Elder White talked to the tour leader and they said they

had a few minutes for a tour so he gave them his 45 minute tour.

We visited the Lewis and Clark Monument where they met with the Indians on theirtravel up the Missouri River in 1803. This is how Council Bluff' s got its name.

Friday we walked from Nebraska to Iowa and back  to Nebraska.. We had a great
morning doing this walk. We were not really tired. We did the walk across the
Pedestrian Bridge across the Missouri River. Take a walk on the bridge with us.

MORMON BRIDGE  ON FREEWAY

Saturday we had the first Karen Group Family Picnic. Elder White cooked the
hot dogs with the Missionaries. Sister White helped take care of the children at
the splash pad.  After that we went to work at the Trail Center which was very busy.

Sunday night had a great experience at the Trail Center. An investigator came
in with a Ward Mission Leader. He had questions about the temple. As Elder White
talked about Marriage for eternity the investigator Jeff explained how wonderful that
was and he hoped that after he was baptized that he would be able to be sealed to
his wife who he missed so much since she died.  He bore a strong testimony of the
Book of Mormon and as we talked about the faith of the pioneers at the Memorial
Room overlooking the Cemetery. As he looked at the picture in tears he said to Elder
White would you come to my baptism? We have now become friends on Facebook
and looking forward to going to his baptism.
