April 22nd- 28th

Change is the one constant in our lives. There are changes we look forward to and changes that we fear. However one thing is for sure. Things will not be the same no matter how much we would like them to be. When a life change occurs we have two choices in how to respond, 1) that the change has come and assume that things will be worse or 2) we can look with excitement at the new possibilities for personal growth and change in ourselves. "God changes caterpillars into butterflies, sand into pearls, and coal into diamonds. Using time and pressure. He’s working on you too."
Here at the Historic Mormon Trail Center and Kanesville Tabernacle many changes have been made. Changes in how we give visitors tours and what we talk about. Changes in leadership and direction. Sisters and Senior Couples coming and going home. Changes in
the building its self and in the content.
Changes in The Church, "each General Conference is like Christmas" as one of our leaders out here said. Even President Nelson talked about changes that are yet to come.
It is a a world of change. We all get older and hopefully wiser. Our families get older and our children and grandchildren change daily as we all know.
This last week Sister White and I had a change in our lives with a change in our home ward. Both of us lived in the Farmington Utah 3rd LDS Ward for 56 years. We were there when it was formed. Elder White was the first new Deacon in that ward and one of the first Eagle Scouts in that ward. Sister White served in many positions in that ward, and we raised our children in that ward. We left from that ward on a mission together and as of last week we became a member of the Farmington 10th Ward. We will remember all the great friends and great times in the 3rd ward, but just like it says about change we look forward to serving in a new ward when we come home.Even with all the changes around us the Heavenly Father is still there & the gospel is true!!
This mission is great and we have a lot of great memories already and look forward to more.
