Nov 5th - 11th
One week it was fall and this week winter. Weather is really cold. The first of the week was good weather for Paulynn and Amy to go home and by Friday our friend Royd Waters had to drive in snow. Friday at the temple was slow to start out but by 10:00 am we had a lot of workers. Saturday was so cold the door lock on our car was frozen.
We had a good visit with Royd as he is on his way to Houston Texas to live. He had dinner with us and the Fontenelle Ward Elders. He was confused that I use the term Sister White all the time. He visited the Trail Center and Tabernacle.
We are getting ready for the Gingerbread Festival at both the Tabernacle and the Trail Center. It opens next week and they are expecting big crowds at both places. We are having a great time working on finding and fellowship people. We are planning to serve Thanksgiving dinner to some of the residents in our building. Some are here without family.

Some Comments from Just Serve
We were blessed with 100 hard working volunteers from JustServe. They weeded, spread mulch, and trimmed trees. When our special needs community came on Tuesday they couldn’t believe how beautiful everything looked. Thank you for making our farm shine."

More than 150 members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints assisted with clean-up of several gardens, polished timber floors and pews in the chapels, cleaned out storage sheds of discarded furniture and junk and slashed and removed weeds from around the periphery of the monastic precinct.
“What a great response to see so many members of your Church assist with clean-up of our heritage buildings and gardens; a huge thank you for an amazing job”, said Jody Burness, Facilities and Services Manager for the New Norcia Benedictine Community.

A poem from Conference Oct 2002 Elder James E Faust
Father, where shall I work today?
And my love flowed warm and free.
Then He pointed out a tiny spot
And said, “Tend that for me.”
I answered quickly, “Oh no; not that!
Why, no one would ever see,
No matter how well my work was done;
Not that little place for me.”
And the word He spoke, it was not stern;
He answered me tenderly:
“Ah, little one, search that heart of thine.
Art thou working for them or for me?
Nazareth was a little place,
And so was Galilee.”
And my love flowed warm and free.
Then He pointed out a tiny spot
And said, “Tend that for me.”
I answered quickly, “Oh no; not that!
Why, no one would ever see,
No matter how well my work was done;
Not that little place for me.”
And the word He spoke, it was not stern;
He answered me tenderly:
“Ah, little one, search that heart of thine.
Art thou working for them or for me?
Nazareth was a little place,
And so was Galilee.”
