This week was a different week. On Tuesday we were able to help with the monthly Missionary session at the temple, 32 missionaries and 7 Senior missionary couples, along with President and Sister Gardner. Thursday we attended President and Sister Gardner’s last Zone Conference. It was a wonderful meeting. My assignment was to help with checking mission cars. Since there were 3 Zones combined there were 32 cars to check and make sure they are clean and that all the records were up to date. President Gardner was coming back from a previous Zone Conference and got a crack in the windshield so I took the car to get a new one. Friday we attended a Methodist Funeral for a man who had become our friend in the apartment Complex. It was interesting We had our training on Saturday probably the last time we will see the Mission President before he goes home this week. We went on a tour of Boy's Town here in Omaha with our friends Elder and Sister Call. an...

Trail Center Sisters with Elder Russell and President Gardner We have worked all week without a preparation day, doing tours and attending to our missionary duties. We love serving and being able to do the missionary work. We have had alot coming from Utah, Idaho, and different places following the Mormon Trail. It has been so great to tell them about the blessings as well as the struggles and faith of the pioneers.  We have been working on memorizing scriptures so we can better ourselves as missionaries. Along with scriptures Sister White has memorized The Living Christ and The Family Proclamation. Because of her efforts she will have achieved all the memorization asked us by the Mission President. In the process we have each received two missionary Study Journals and Sister White will receive a Master Teacher plaque at Zone Conference. (We love that the Lord helps us achieve righteous goals:) he will help you too. We had some rewards this week with t...

THE NEBRASKA SKY AFTER TORNADO WARNINGS     What a week here in the Nebraska Omaha Mission, we are really getting busy. For  example, we were working on Wednesday morning at the Kanesville Tabernacle. As we pulled up at the parking lot to open it we noticed all these Young Adults walking all over the grounds. Know that this is very unusual because I have the keys to open the gate!  Well a bus tour of kids showed up a half hour early, not scheduled but the FM Missionaries were working on the flower gardens and let them in. Quite a shock , Elder White talked to the tour leader and they said they had a few minutes for a tour so he gave them his 45 minute tour. We visited the Lewis and Clark Monument where they met with the Indians on their travel up the Missouri River in 1803. This is how Council Bluff' s got its name. Friday we walked from Nebraska to Iowa and back  to Nebraska.. We had a great morning doing this w...
