Sunrise, Sunset! Sunrise, Sunset  swiftly flow the years!! As the sunsets on this Mission we thought we should show some of those beautiful Sunrises and Sunsets We are so grateful for the opportunity to serve our mission at the Mormon Trail Center  & Kanesville Tabernacle and learn all about our ancestors and the pioneer history, their sacrifices, faith and determination.  We had the added blessing to be ordinance workers at the beautiful Winter Quarters Temple!!  We love it here and will carry these wonderful experiences with us and cherish them in our hearts.

This was a great week. We started out with Veterans Day and ended with a  great Sunday. It was amazing with the Missionary session at the Temple in-between. Monday was Veterans day and we were able to attend a Veterans Day Luncheon held at the Woodbridge Living Center. We were fed a great lunch and they honored all veterans in the Apartments, there were 22 of them.  One of the Veterans was a man named Bob who was 100 years old and had served in WWII. It was a fun get together.  Wednesday was a special day when we were able to attend the Monthly Missionary temple session, this was our last session with just the missionaries who were in the Papillion Zone and those Missionaries going home this month. We have enjoyed serving in these sessions. On Sunday we attended Church and in our meeting were "The Piano Guys" who had given a concert the night before in Omaha. They even went to visit the Mormon Trail Center. We are getting ready to go home and are finding time is short for...

This week started with our day to serve at the Kountze Lutheran church Pantry.  We have served 4 times there at the Monday food bank, either handing out goods or being a greeter. You get a great feeling inside when you serve and help people. We had the opportunity to be trained by the Church Historian, Elder LeGrand Curtis. It is always great when one of the General Authorities is here to train us. Saturday morning we traveled to Kansas City Kansas. We had never been there and it was not far from our hotel. We headed back to Independence Visitors Center. A beautiful building and a wonderful visitors center.  We learned the history of the area. The Church of Christ has their temple across the street.  Kansas city Temple Independence Visitor Center Independence Visitor Center  Independence Visitors Center Leaving Independence we headed to Liberty Jail. The missionaries are very knowledgeable and friendly. They told us the History of Missouri and the jail. The jail make...

One month left in this wonderful mission. We have seen many things happen, not by our action but by the Spirit that directs us. We have grown more in the last 21 months than we could have comprehended. The blessings have come to us and to our family and extended families. This week we had some final dinners with our senior friends and have felt their love.  We were able to attend a special fireside for temple workers. This fireside was a great spiritual meeting. It was the last time we will probably see some of the wonderful men and women who we have served with in the temple. The outgoing Presidency are spiritual giants. They have been patient with us in learning the Temple ordinances and procedures. We will always remember sitting at their feet learning and listening.. great teaching moments.  Thank you so much President and Sister Deshler, President and Sister Crowther, President and Sister Fredericks!!! Elder Gifford Nielsen was our guest speaker and we loved his message a...
